Gynecology, also known as women’s medicine, deals with the onset and treatment of diseases of the female genital tract. Precautionary measures also play an important role here, whether it is for cancer screening or the appropriate prevention of currently unwanted pregnancies. Women who would also like to have children but have so far been unable to conceive may also come for a consultation. Obstetrics is concerned with the monitoring and supervision of pregnancies.

In a 24-hour blood pressure monitor, blood pressure is recorded over a longer period of time – usually 24 hours – in a similar way to a 24-hour ECG. Measurements are taken at regular intervals. This allows for the detection of daily or lifestyle-related irregularities.

Manual medicine works on acute back point (for example, the dreaded “lumbago”) and chronic back pain, as well as joint and muscle ailments. The muscles, tendons and joints are not directly damaged, but they do not work together in cohesion, which is why the sufferer is afflicted with pain and limits to their range and quality of movement. The pain resulting from these “functional” problems can arise quite a distance from the actual source of the problem.

The healing process begins immediately after the initial visit to the doctor and usually just a few treatment sessions are sufficient. After this, it is the individual’s own active cooperation and personal responsibility that are key. With consistent training, the patient can prevent a relapse and remain free from complaints for the long term.

The Center for Sports and Exercise Medicine is staffed with exceptional qualified personnel and has an excellent infrastructure for the prevention, detection and treatment of injuries in this area.

Orthopedics with experience in the field of sports work at the Center for Sports and Exercise Medicine, so that even in this specialized area of orthopedics, they can offer optimum care and treatment.

The recording of the resting ECG allows an initial assessment of cardiac performance. By measuring the electrical innervation of the heart muscle, rhythm or excitation disorders can be detected.

Polygraphy

Polygraphy collects information about your sleep patterns. The nocturnal oxygen saturation, pulse rate, position of the body, breathing and snoring are all crucial for the diagnosis. Polygraphy is conducted in the patient’s own bed.

During a stress ECG performed on a stationary bike or treadmill, the heart’s performance and any changes in the cardiovascular system are monitored. The exercise intensity is increased either in stages or continuously until maximum exertion is reached. The test provides insights into blood pressure and heart rate patterns and serves as an important diagnostic tool for detecting circulatory disorders of the heart as well as exercise-induced arrhythmias.

Method

The lymphatic system is activated through the application of pumping and circular motions and scooping strokes. When stimulated, the lymphatic system absorbs and transports more tissue fluid. This decongests the tissue.

Physiotherapy made to measure (german)

Shock waves are very short, high-energy acoustic pulses. The shock waves created in a generator are passed through the skin to the injured part of the body where they release their therapeutic effect. This stimulates the body’s own healing powers, which accelerate the healing process.

Shock waves help to heal painful and inflamed tendons/ligaments (enthesopathy). The treatment has also proven to be successful in arterial circulatory disorders and pain therapy.

The treatment is short and low-risk. The dosage is adapted to suit the pain tolerance of the patient and does not require anesthetics. A marked improvement can already been seen after just 2 to 3 sessions in most cases. 4 to 7 shock wave sessions are carried out on average per patient.

As with general physiotherapy, this sports physiotherapy focuses on the treatment, rehabilitation and prevention of injuries to the musculoskeletal system.

Sports massage

A sports massage is a variation of the classic massage. It plays an important role in preparing for training and competitions, or after great physical exertion with the aim of restoring previous performance levels. The massage techniques are individually tailored to suit the athlete, i.e. His/her type of sport and his/her ultimate objective (stimulation, improved performance, regeneration, relaxation or injury prophylaxis).

Trigger point therapy

TP therapy is used to target local cramps in the muscle tissue. It is often applied to ease painful conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, headaches, injuries, susceptibility to injuries and to prevent discomfort.

Lymphatic drainage

The lymphatic system is stimulated through gentle, rhythmic and slow pumping manipulations (pressure), which promotes the drainage of lymphatic fluids from the tissue. Lymphatic drainage is used for swelling after an injury, surgery and congenital disorders of the lymphatic system. It is also used for certain types of headaches and migraines.

The massage services can partly be billed via the additional insurance. Please check in advance whether your health insurance company accepts the therapist or treatment methods and covers the costs.

Once you have registered you will receive a health questionnaire. On the day of your check-up, we will provide you with a delicious breakfast after your blood samples have been taken.

Laboratory examination
Urinalysis, complete blood count (CBC), values for your liver, kidney, blood lipids and blood sugar levels, iron levels, uric acid, thyroid value, electrolytes, screening for inflammation parameters, PSA value for men under 45, colon cancer prevention for men and women over 50 or those at risk. HIV test on request (not included).

Anamnesis, physical examination, blood pressure and pulse, vaccination status.

The bioelectric impedance method determines the resistance between of the flow of an AC current as it passes through two or more points on the body.

The body contains different types of tissues with differing levels of electrolytes. The BIA can measure the water content, metabolically active cell tissue and fat mass of the individual body compartments. A further advantage of this method is that it can also identify visceral adipose tissue.

If the patient does not experience any difficulties when exercising, the AIA test can be used to assess their asthmatic reaction when they are physically exerted.

Ultrasound allows us to predominantly examine soft tissue structures in the body. That is why our ultrasound scanner is used to help clarify so many questions.
